Prepare for your treatment

Preparation is the difference between a one-visit fix and a recurring problem. Pick your service below, work through the checklist, and print or hand it to the household before the technician arrives.

Bed Bug prep sheet

Bed bug work fails without preparation. Everything below must be done before the technician arrives.

Start 2–3 days before service · allow 4+ hours to complete

Laundry & textiles

Bag all clothing, bedding, curtains and soft toys in sealed plastic bags
Wash on the hottest safe setting and dry 30+ min on high heat
Place cleaned items in fresh sealed bags — do not return to drawers
Dry-clean-only items: tumble dry on high for 30 minutes (no wash)

Furniture & rooms

Strip beds down to the bare mattress and box spring
Empty nightstands, dressers and closet floors
Pull furniture 2 ft from walls so baseboards are reachable
Vacuum floors, edges and mattress seams; discard the bag outside immediately
Remove wall hangings, mirrors and outlet clutter in infested rooms

Clutter & disposal

Remove cardboard boxes, piles of paper and floor clutter
Wrap and label discarded infested furniture before removing it
Do not move items to other rooms — this spreads the infestation

Important notes

Do not apply store-bought foggers or bug bombs — they scatter bed bugs into walls
Plan to keep people and pets out for 4 hours or until surfaces are dry
Sleep in the treated bedroom afterwards — moving rooms spreads the problem
