Doors & entry points

Add weatherstripping to jambs, thresholds and astragals
Replace worn garage door bottom seals and side seals
Fit self-closing hinges on frequently used exterior doors

Vents, weep holes & soffits

Copper mesh (Stuf-fit)

Packs into pipe voids, weep holes and gnaw points — rodents can't chew through it.

1/4" galvanized hardware cloth

Screens vents, foundation gaps and crawlspace openings against rodents and wildlife.

Stainless steel wool

Alternative to copper mesh for tight cracks; pair with sealant to lock it in place.

Silicone or polyurethane sealant

Flexible, weatherproof caulk for gaps under 1/2" around trim, siding and windows.

Expanding pest-block foam

Fills larger voids around plumbing and HVAC line-sets; overseal with caulk.

Hydraulic cement

Permanent seal for foundation cracks, slab penetrations and masonry voids.

Door sweeps & weatherstripping

Closes the most common rodent entry — the gap under exterior doors.

Escutcheon / trim plates

Cover ragged holes behind sinks, toilets and radiators for a clean, sealed finish.

Caulking gun & putty knife

Basic application tools — a smooth, tooled bead lasts far longer than a rough one.

Headlamp & inspection mirror

Find hidden gaps in cabinet voids, crawlspaces and behind appliances.

Cordless drill & tin snips

Fasten hardware cloth and vent covers; trim mesh to fit irregular openings.

Nitrile gloves & N95 respirator

PPE for handling insulation, droppings and dusty crawlspaces.
